Wanted to try a new charcoal grate and see how it worked so i hooked up the iq pitmaster and put on some rib strips.

How did the grate work out?  Saw on Nakedwhiz different lighting methods and one was using a can of sterno underneath the Lump pile in the ash catcher.  Seemed like an interesting idea but the oem grate probably wont have enough air flow for that method.

Grate seems to work out ok, i lit with a mapp torch its been going for 3 hrs im going to let it go for another 5 hrs then shut it down and check tomorrow and see how much charcoal is left and see how much small pieces fell thru grate.
