Sorry guys. I've been in New Orleans this week and didn't get to post up the Throw Down recipe for it. It's really easy.

Start with a 350 Keg indirect over a stone with a spacer above a plate setter and melt a stick or two of butter.

Mix up 1 1/4 cup of sugar with 1 1/2 cup of Self Rising flower along with a teaspoon of vanilla and 3/4 cup of milk to make the batter.

Also mix up 1 cup of sugar with 6 tablespoons of cocoa powder

Pour the batter into the melted butter and DO NOT STIR!

Sprinkle the cocoa powder mix over it and again DO NOT STIR!

Now pour 2 cups of boiling water on top and DO NOT STIR!

Bake in the Keg for about an hour until the center of the batter is done.

Swivel slice some strawberries and when you place a heaping pile of the cobbler onto the plate scoop out some of the chocolate and drixxle over the strawberries.

Serve hot with a dollop of ice cream or whipped cream

That is cool. Never seen cobbler made like that before. I like how the dough rises through the center. Great cook!

Looks great Ron.  I'll have to try this one.  Thanks for the recipe.

They are closed minded idiots (did I just say that?? YEP!) and they can't see the usefulness of other types of cookers.

I lieu of flowers, this will be made next time I screw up or am really wanting something.  Wink

Ron - have you tried this with anything other than strawberries and if so, how does it turn out?

I have added pecans, walnuts, cashews, and other stuff mixed into the batter and it kicks it up a notch. The strawberries were added to this throwdown because chocolate and strawberry just go together.

But then again so does chocolate and................ Cool
