Do they have any Keg Events in Illinois? When I judge for the KCBS I see a lot of egg type cookers and webers and you know I really don't recall seeing a Big Steel Keg.
Just asking.

I know you specifically asked about Illinois, and I cant answer that for you. But here in Iowa I have judged a handful of contests and have ran into kegs a couple of times. I know for an absolute fact that there will be at least one Keg at the Lakefest BBQ contest in Storm Lake Iowa June 17-18  Grin

Just curious. It would be pretty cool to go to an all Keg event.

I know cajunator was trying to get one figured for all of us. If it does happen it sounds like it will be in the south east somewhere but i gotta admit that all the crawfish he shows makes me think Louisiana might be a good spot.

My team competed in westmont in may.  We used two eggs two webers and one keg.  We will be competing in the lambs farm comp next month.

They are closed minded idiots (did I just say that?? YEP!) and they can't see the usefulness of other types of cookers.
