wd88,
Looks like that was during the 3 weeks of sunshine up there...just kidding, I know it's 6 weeks.  Grin

Seriously, that looks like a great day at the beach.

I used to watch that show. /sigh, guess I just dated myself, too. Also watched Maverick.

That setup was the second day at the beach. The day before we hand carried everything about a 100 feet from the condo to the beach (several miles to the south of where the posted pics were taken). It was awesome. The keg rocks, that's all there is to it. It's my new 'portable' charcoal grill, hehe.

I didn't look (or read) closely at the first photo, but I thought it looked like you were set up at the Bonneville Salt Flats for some land speed record event Grin.

The tide was waaaaay out, so the beach was pretty wide and flat. The tide was starting to come in so we parked way back. At high tide the water would have been not too far from where we parked.

They are closed minded idiots (did I just say that?? YEP!) and they can't see the usefulness of other types of cookers.

Here is my humble setup.  It's not near as elaborate as all of the other rigs that have shown, but it works great for me and the wife.  And now I've got a few envious neighbors when they get a whiff of the smoke while it's cookin'.

I'm pretty sure I posted my deal before, just not in this thread. This is the latest incarnation.

Here is my humble corner of the deck used for Kegging and my gasser on the other side.  My back door faces the keg in this pic.  I used to have the grills the other way around until i got tired of walking past my gasser in order to use my keg. 😀
