I had to bust out the dictionary to understand entry #2.
And I think entry #4 was attacked by the Viking Boat from the previous throwdown ...  Grin

I had to do the same thing for #2

Are those the viking boat oars sticking out of that steak?

They are closed minded idiots (did I just say that?? YEP!) and they can't see the usefulness of other types of cookers.

WOW Great job to all!!  This was really tough.  I ended up going for what I think of as "superbowl food".  Some of the others would definately get my vot in a different throwdown, just didn't see them as "superbowl" dishes.  Again Great Job everyone.  And if there is any of that porterhouse left over, I'll take some!! Seeing these entries is bad enough. If I could smell it, I would have to fire up the Keg! But I'm afraid I would disappoint myself in comparison.
Congrats to whoever wins, and thumbs up to all who posted entries.

Another incredible throw down, guys... I didn't enter as it was somewhat of a "potluck" here at BirdNerd Central and I cooked simple beef and turkey sliders on the keg. The other folks brought a bunch of other stuff (non-kegged). Glad to see that we've expanded beyond the 6 word description limit!   Grin

If you think these descriptions were hard to understand, wait till you see my post of the menu from "The French Laundry" that I'll post to the "non-keg discussion" forum (didn't eat there myself but had relatives who did)... Wow

Daniel

BBQ is all the same basic idea.  Throw some meat onto the fire, cover, get drunk, pass out, wake up and 14 hours later, eat.  This is not a highly refined art form.
