Smokem if youv'e got them

« on: January 06, 2011, 10:50:55 PM »

I make these often in the summer. They work well when we don't have a specific meal time they will stay warm for a long time. They don't dry out like plain burgers would. My Golf Buddies call them Stoolbusters.Very Juicy.
I start with Burger not more than 85% lean, Peppers, Onion, Bloody Mary Mix of your choice. and seasoning, I like Garlic, Salt & Pepper. I have always done them on the grill, but I will now do them on the Keg when ever possible.

Make the patties 1/3 to 1/2 pound. Slice Veggies and Season Patties

Grill the Burgers about 1/2 way. Cut heat to 350 to 400 degrees add diffuser.

Put in Pan.

Add  Veggies

Add Bloody Mary Mix.

Grill for 1 Hour to an Hour and a half.

Serve when ever you are ready they will stay warm for quite awhile.

They are closed minded idiots (did I just say that?? YEP!) and they can't see the usefulness of other types of cookers.

Just did these last weekend, and were really good. Used a bottle of ZingZang but the cooking mellows out the bloody mary taste a bit in the process. Used some of the juice/onions over mashed potatoes and it was out of this world.
