I have been watching many great reviews about this...

http://www.thermoworks.com/Smoke

Anyone buy it yet?

I currently own the chef alarm...it's a great thermometer, but has only one probe...at first I didn't think I would need two probes, but I find it useful for monitoring temps on slow cooks...so I might sell the chef alarm and buy this one instead...or just keep both  Grin

This does not specifically answer your question re. Thermoworks Smoke; however, I've been using 2 Thermoworks Dots, along with an Aldi remote wireless temperature probe. It works (very) well for low/slows and or qwik, high cooks.

I have been using the SMOKE for several months now.

Find much easier to set than the Mavericks I have.

Probes are waterproof..I'm still cautious when cleaning.  No need to seal wire where in goes into probe as this has been done by Thermoworks.

Little buggy if you use only one probe as the unit keeps flashing no probe.

Remote only has neck string...does not have an easel stand.  The sender unit has stand and also magnets on back.

Alarm could be a little louder...might also be because I have old ears that don't hear as well any more. Cheesy

Definitely worth the few dollars more than the Maverick.
