Seems like over the years a couple different users were having stainless steel diffuser straps fabricated that they would then sell.  Just wondering if they are still around and selling the straps.  I like the idea of being able to lock the lower grate in place and the flexibility they seem to offer of using either a drip pan or stone diffuser.  Thanks!

The BK Diffuser Kit is pretty versatile. You can flip it upside down to raise pizza stone height level higher than the main grate level.

Ranco straps. A guy called Ran used to make them. So we called them Ran Corporation.
I bought a pair.

Vindii used to make them after Ran left.

Here is some info on how to make them.

I  think the OMC diffuser kit works great, just don't use it as a water pan.

Smokin Sandy, I have some straps that are plain carbon steel.  I got some throw away heavy duty, 1/2" wide flat metal strapping from a motorcycle dealer. These were straps that were on the crates that new bikes were shipped in and they throw them away when they uncrate the bike. I used the dimensions shown in the link that Smokey attached. They are not pretty, but they work great and the steel is heavy enough to last a l-o-n-g time.  Grin
