Thinking of picking up a food saver and I have a question about the rolls/bags.  I have no idea where to start.

What would you all recommend I buy with the machine?  Which bag/roll do you find most useful?

I just bought a FoodSaver on sale at Costco.  So I'm trying to figure out the same things that you are.  What I did, is buy this 50 Count Multi-Pack of pre-cut bags.  I figure that by the time I run out of one of the three sizes, I'll know which size I use the most.  At that time, I'll get a larger quantity of pre-cut bags or maybe a few rolls to cut my own.

This isn't relative to you post but I thought I'd share it.

Earlier in the week I was suing my Foodsaver and it basically crapped out and wouldn't create the vacuum. I checked the gaskets and the upper one was screwed up. So I emailed Sunbeam after not being able to find the correct part number. I had to call to place the order and they tell me it's a fixed gasket and there is no part. I tell them that on and off I've had problems with this unit. I can't even remember how long I've had it but they tell me to ship to them ad they will replace it. It went out yesterday so I'll be waiting to see what arrives whether it's a new one or a refurbished model.
I'll update when it comes in.

Update......
Yesterday I received a brand new Foodsaver to replace the one I sent back. Not the sam exact model but everything about it is the same. Actually it seems to be better. Seals better and has a better vacuum and not as loud. It took about 3 weeks but I'm pretty satisfied with the customer service.
It's nice to receive a nice surprise like this instead of getting screwed like so many other companies would do.

At one point Cabelas had the best price.
They sell 50 foot rolls. $18

The Cabelas rolls worked well with my FoodSaver.

When I researched about 5 years ago I tried to figure out the price per foot.
Foodsaver rolls were very expensive.
Sems like they still are pricey.

I use Cabelas too and found them to be much cheaper.  I also have their vacuum sealer.  It works well also.

I have one of their sealers as well.
I'ts maintainable. Not 100% happy with it, but it's all I have.
I've had it for 4 years, so it's durable.
