if you buy the 4 probe version I believe is wifi.

That must be why the thing is a wifi extender then. I wonder if it joins your network or if it has its own network.

I just took the gamble and ordered the 4 probe with block support.  It is a total gamble but they actually answered several of my questions almost instantly when I asked through their web page.  I am still concerned with battery and electronic life but I think it is worth the gamble at this point.  They expect to ship to the kickstarter backers in January but not go into full production until next summer (that was one question I asked).

I also jumped on the 4 probes and meater block - if it holds up it should be a great product
