Alright fellas. I guess we are close enough to the main event to try and start to sort out what we all want to cook/eat. Let's put our heads together and come up with a menu.

Stephanie wants me/us to do a Brisket and a Butt. I can do some Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast one morning. I will bring some sauce for the pulled pork, I've come up with a recipe that I like and maybe y'all will too.

So, that's what I am good for, provided I can use someone's keg for those 2 cooks. The Cinnamon Rolls can be done in Caj's oven if he allows it, lol.

I might even consider doing some Moinks, I have grown fond of those little bastards lately. Let me know and we'll get this pulled together in no time!

Not BBQ but I'm thinking of making a good gumbo in case the weather is chilly. Not sure yet what kind. Anyone have issues with shrimp/seafood?
I could bring the small 5 gal. cast iron pot again and make a jambalaya again too. Last year I brought muffalettas, oysters (for char grilling), boudin and more and I trying to figure out what to bring this year.
I could add Red Beans and rice to the rotation.

Not to side track this thread but for those of you arriving at Goose Pond/Kegtoberfest Colony on the Thursday Oct. 22, do y'all want to grab something to eat at the Docks restaurant like we did last year? Last week I had a fantastic ground filet cheeseburger there.

Don't you think it's a little early to be planning a menu for Kegtoberfest 2105?   Grin Grin

Sounds like a good idea Nate.  A night to chill out after the travels.

We're still planning on some stuffed Peppadews, sweet tater souffle, hopefully a special surprise that I know Bills will love if I can find some.
Also bringing some Conecuh sausage and eggs for a breakfast.  Maybe some Goetta.
If my guests are able to make it they also want to contribute.  Any suggestions?

Alright, we're on the right track. We just need to take the food and actually plan the meals around it. So.....breakfast, lunch and dinner each day we'll know who is making what and coordinate with each other so it's just not a buffet with more food than we can eat.

Isn't this what we talked about after last year? If it's just gonna be a free for all then I stand corrected, lol.

I think we need to get there and chop a huge tree down and make a giant table, pile all the food in the middle and sit down and eat.

I definitely agree on some kind of organization with the food. There was so much food it was hard to really enjoy everything the way it should have been enjoyed. Don't get me wrong, I tried everything and was so full I could barely walk. That could have been from the alcohol though. Cheesy
