I have this under mine...

http://www.lowes.ca/bbq-covers-gazebos/the-original-grill-pad-30-in-l-x-42-in-w-textured-earthtone-brown-fiber-cement-fiber-rectangular-grill-mat_g2462873.html?ProductSlot=36#

Works well, but not the perfect shape for a kamado.  Has held up to two seasons of Canadian summer/winter and still like new.  I put searing hot grills on it etc without issue.  Wish it was round....

I went with the round original grill pad.  It blends with the stain on my deck and was only $30 at lowes.

@smallbbqr what brand is your mat? Your link is out of date but I too need one to survive our Alberta winters! Also love to be able to put a searing hot chimney on it
