Can there be a retrofit for current 4000 models?

Take out the current vent and install the new style with ash removal.

One little snag there fellas, I see no way to hook up an ATC to it. That alone makes it a no go for me. I wouldn't want to drill a hole in it to be able to use my Auber.

I see removing the drawer and using an insert with the ATC and some tape to hold it in place.

It will just need an adapter similar to the one the IQ uses for the webers.  It looks like a cup that fits over the vent.  Your auber would mount the the cup.

Otherwise just take the tray out like FP says.

It looks like it has a clear coat on it instead of a powder coat. It looks shiny!
