Should have added that I put 4 oz of Yanks cherry sauce into my normal rib sauce.  It was good!

We got a meat sponsor this year.  Bunzels in Milwaukee will supply all of our contest meats.  Going to be a good year.

Hoping to add a charcoal sponsor too.

Broil King helped us with our charcoal this year.  We purchased a skid of Broil King Keg lump charcoal.  Great stuff.  We'll be using it all year.  Had to get a few accessorizes.  Especially like the meat hooks.  Thanks again Rich and Broil King BBQ!  You guys are great to work with.

We finished BBQ for ASTOP contest with a 2nd place in pork, 8th place in ribs, 10 place in brisket, and 12th in chicken. Good for 5th overall out of 23 teams. The weather Fridays was great. Sunny (most of the day) and 80. Friday night brought the rain and it rained from 11:00 pm to 2:00 Saturday afternoon with temps dropping to 50. Kids had to spends some of the time in the tent and in the truck to try to stay dry and warm! I think there might have been only 2-3 teams cooking and sleeping in tents so for us to score well in this weather make it a little sweeter. Got to love those Broil King Kegs that will cook in any weather. Even with the weather we still had a great time. Thanks to Bunzel's Meats and Catering for the awesome meat that they supply and to Broil King BBQ for the great smokers and the Broil King Keg Lump charcoal. Also thanks to Patterson Orchards for the apple wood and honey! We appreciate all the support!

Local paper was there.  Scroll thru the photos.

Congrats! You need a bigger cork board and a proper trophy case, it's getting to be a lot.

Truck and trailer are loaded up for the Sam's Club series event in Indy.  SSK will roll out tomorrow morning.  Looking for a top 6 finish to advance to the next round!
